Powerful Resources from 10 Years of Retreat-Leading Experience
About Darla
There are two things that have made a difference for me more than anything else on my journey to right here.
- Alignment. Aligning with my spiritual Truth has created a priceless internal freedom.
- Retreats. Connection heals and healing frees. To risk being truly seen, in a retreat community, creates permanent transformation.
Kurt Wright said, “We can only trust that part of ourselves that we have revealed to another person and had validated instead of violated.” This simple statement demonstrates why small, safe-space, truth-based retreats are such powerful tools for empowerment. Once we experience ourselves in a new way, we can’t un-know who we now are. And live retreats create experiences in a way no self-help book (or virtual program, or information-packed big event) ever could.
If you are someone who creates a safe space of non-judgement in which people can share their Truth (or people just tend to tell you stuff), or if you love to dig into the root cause of an issue to shift it at its core, you might a transformational entrepreneur and a powerful retreat leader. How to Stay in the Flow?
I was recently asked this question, and I have about 100 answers to it. Create new commitments that are more powerful than the old ones your ego created. Get people in your life who see you for who you really are and where you're going. Don't "take a break" from...

Harley Davidson Mini-Van and Your Brand of Passion
There’s a mini-van that parks near me that has a Harley Davidson emblem on it’s license plate. It makes me laugh just a little because a Harley and a mini-van seem somehow to be in opposition. Yet that driver, possibly in a mini-van due to stage-of-life necessity,...
If You’re Not Thrilled – Get a Purpose or Get Out
Being an entrepreneur is work. There I said it. I didn't say "hard work" but it is work any way you slice it. To keep it going, it had better be rewarding, right? Recently I had a day in which I registered two people into a coaching program. Each had been connected...
Inspiration in Your Space?

Bold Goals – Weight Loss and Business
I’ve been wanting to lose about 10 pounds so that I can fit comfortably into my wardrobe for quite some time. Many of my clothes over the last year had become a bit too tight. In general I wasn’t unhappy or lethargic… or even embarrassed. It was just annoying. But...

When is the last time you heard someone say something like, "You know how it is..." and you nodded in agreement? Please stop doing this. To get a good understand of how agreement can hurt us, read the first chapter of The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz, about...
REACTIVE OR CREATIVE?
This is a word scramble that makes all the difference. In speaking with a client the other day, I had asked him to recap and CLAIM the shifts he had experienced in the recent month of coaching. His response was brilliant. “I’ve gone from living in a reactive place to...
